Trying This Blog Thing Again

I’ve been blogging since 2004; about when blogging got popular (well, when I first started to take notice). Since then I’ve maintained about three or four different blogs that were eventually abandoned and deleted. You would of thought that I would have realised by now that maybe this isn’t the thing for me. But no.

About one thing will be different about this attempt. I won’t be using my real name. It really shouldn’t have made a difference but it did: I think going under an alias will help. So let’s try this: the rest of the post is going to be about me and what I intend to post about.

I’m a Dunedin student finishing up my papers. I’ve been able to vote for two elections and have both times voted for the Greens. My blogging interests will involve New Zealand politics and any other country that fancies my attention and my other obsession: the media. From the news to those bits of culture that society loves to consume: the movies, tv shows, books, music and the newest one on the block: web media.

And I’ll blog about anything else that seems to interest me. One must remember that a blog is always a task of self-indulgence. I’m also obsessed with electoral systems. Though I still haven’t worked out why.

Wow. I think it’s time to write an actual post. Let the fun begin!
